Data controller
The data controller is Fabio Massimo Ulivieri. For any request regarding your data, you can write to fabio.massimo@ulivieri.com.
Visitor statistics, without cookies
To understand how the site is used we rely on Matomo, an analytics software installed on our own server. The data is not shared with any third party and never leaves our server.
The statistics are set up to respect your privacy as much as possible:
- no cookies and no identifier stored on your device;
- your IP address is anonymised (the last digits are masked) and is never stored in full;
- no profiling and no advertising use;
- data is collected and read only in aggregate form.
In practice we collect aggregate information such as the pages visited, the duration of the visit, the referring site, the device and browser type, and an approximate location (city or country level, derived from the anonymised IP). We also record, again in aggregate, how many times the email address is clicked, so we know how many contact requests come from the site: we do not record who clicks.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping aggregate statistics to improve the site. Because these statistics use no cookies and store no personal data, this site does not require a consent banner.
Statistical data is kept for as long as needed for statistical purposes and can be deleted on request.
Opt out
If you prefer not to be counted in the statistics, you can opt out here:
Web fonts
For its typography the site loads fonts from Google Fonts; during this request your IP address is disclosed to Google, which provides them.
If you write to us
If you contact us by email, we will process the data you provide (name, email address and message content) solely to reply to you. We will not use it for other purposes and will not share it with third parties.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data, and you can object to the processing, by writing to fabio.massimo@ulivieri.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
